A cotton manufacturer in Uxbridge, Mass. incorporated in 1841. First housed in buildings formerly owned by Crown and Eagle Mills, it made sheetings, shirtings, scrims and voiles. It was purchased in 1849 by Paul Whitin & Sons, a family business in Whitinsville, Mass. In 1864, this company was dissolved and divided among various family members. James F.
